Nationals are World Series Champions

On Wednesday, the Nationals beat the Astros 6-2 in Houston. Houston’s Zack Greinke was pitching a 2-0 shut-out in the seventh inning when Washington’s Anthony Redon hit a solo home run. After walking the next batter, Astro’s coach A.J. Hinch made a big mistake by taking Greinke out of the game. Greinke had only thrown 70 pitches and had given up just two hits and one run. He’s a veteran pitcher and could have weathered the brief seventh inning storm. After his removal, the Astro’s Will Harris gave up two more runs and The Nationals scored in every other inning. A little more trust and patience in Greinke might have clinched an Astro’s victory.

Warriors or Worriers?

The Warriors lost their second game of the season to the Oklahoma City Thunder (92-120). The Warriors are producing too many turnovers and need to clean it up. They also need to work on their three-point shooting. In today’s game, the Warriors went 30-92 in the field and 5-33 in three-point shooting. Right now, the Warriors are last in their division. They would do better if they worked on building chemistry. Yes, there are a lot of new faces on the Warriors roster and they need to get familiar with each other’s style. The Warriors are also struggling with the loss of Klay Thompson, who got injured in the 2018-2019 NBA Finals, as well as other traded championship players. My prediction is they are going to do way better in the next few weeks. If not, the Warriors will become the Worriers.

Fouling Frenzy in Milwaukee

Last night in the Heat’s overtime win (131-126) against the Bucks, both Giannis Antetokounmpo and George Hill fouled out. Besides that, the Bucks were up by 21 with 11:00 minutes in the third quarter. Kelly Olynyk hit back-to-back clutch threes with 4:52 left in the game. With 3 seconds to go in regulation Kris Middeleton shot a three and Giannis tipped it in. Sadly the the Heat outscored the bucks by five points in overtime.

The Bucks should have won this game from the start. They were doing great in the first half but their defense just fell apart in the second half. The Bucks need to work on their three point defense. Yes, the Bucks aren’t playing Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors, but, like Kelly Olynyk and some of these guys, they can shoot three pointers. I like how the Bucks are aggressive, but they need to stop these fouls. I mean Kris Middeleton almost fouled out, too.
